"Mastering Yourself is True Power."

The P.E.A.C.E. Program (Police Enlightenment and Collective Education) is committed to enhancing the overall wellbeing of the Houston Police Department. Focused on the health and resilience of officers and personnel, the program offers mindfulness workshops, exercise classes, and wellness resources. In addition to in-station trainings, the P.E.A.C.E. Program provides department-wide wellness events, continued education, and academy trainings to support suicide prevention, stress management, alternative response tactics, team building, and physical agility. Certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), the program also offers continued education credits to help officers advance their skills and well-being. Designed specifically for active-duty officers, the P.E.A.C.E. Program aims to cultivate a healthier, more effective, and resilient police force.

Our Police Officer Reviews

Thank you! The mindfulness and yoga program has been key to my mental and emotional wellness. I didn’t realize how much I needed this for my overall well-being. The journal prompts were inspiring, the yoga was tailored to all levels, and the sound meditation helped me truly ‘let go.’ This has been the highlight of my week!

Sgt. Alaina Nickerson

The stress in law enforcement requires multiple approaches for relief. Yoga strengthens the body, helping it better cope with stress, while breathing and meditation address the mental aspect. Sound therapy also aids in both physical and mental stress. I hope we can make yoga a part of law enforcement training—it’s needed now more than ever.

Officer Eugenio Gonzalez

We’re so grateful for the program. It’s more than just yoga—it’s about practicing deep relaxation to achieve calm. We learn to improve ourselves. The teachings have helped me manage anxiety and handle situations more healthily. In law enforcement, we often focus on others, but this class has reminded us to care for ourselves so we can better serve others.
